Welcome to Brooklyn, NY's Semper Fido dog
training. Our goal is to bring you Dog Friendly /
People Friendly dog training. We use modern,
motivational training techniques which
strengthen the bond between dogs and their
owners. The methods are fun! If you use them
consistently, you'll find that your dog will become
a willing partner, working for you, rather than
against you. This site is intended to provide you
with dog training and dog related resources.

We are located in the Park Slope section of
Brooklyn, NY and are available for appointments
in New York City.  Our primary service areas are:
  • all neighborhoods of Brooklyn
  • the Rockaway section of Queens
  • Staten Island
  • Manhattan (NEW!  Classes
    downtown/Tribeca/Battery Park City/World
    Trade Center at Petropolis).
  • We will travel to other sections of New York
    City or New Jersey by special request.
  • Semper Fido's Dog Training School is
    located at 796 Dean Street (at Washington
    Avenue) in Prospect Heights. Our location is
    easily accessible by public transportation.  
    The Washington Avenue stop on the A/C is
    just three short blocks from our school.  On
    street parking is available.  Our location is a
    short walk from Clinton Hill,Ft. Greene,
    Prospect Heights, North Slope, Crown
    Heights and Bed Stuy.
  • Our location is the ONLY family dog training
    center of its kind in NYC!  We are not
    attached to any doggy daycare, animal
    shelter or existing dog business.  This
    eliminates distractions commonly found in
    most NYC classes.  This will allow us to offer a
    wider variety of classes and to better serve
    NYC's dogs and their owners.  
  • Semper Fido is now bi-lingual.  Classes in
    Spanish start in September.

Our group dog training class schedule for February
2008 is posted.  Check back for additional dates and
times.  Big news!!!!  In February 2008, we're moving to
a new space located in Park Slope.    Classes are held
on anti-fatigue rubber flooring.   See the classes page
for details.

  • Training Fundamentals 2 starts May 8.
